What is a Certified Evaluator?

Certified Evaluators are contractors or engineers certified by TRPA to perform Best Management Practice Site Evaluations for single-family properties in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

TRPA recognizes the certified evaluators as leaders in Best Management Practice design and they are an extension of the TRPA’s BMP Program. They are another resource for property owners and because several of the certified evaluators install BMPs as well as design them, they may serve as a one stop shop for the property owner.

TRPA reviews and approves all site evaluations performed so the property owner can be assured that the quality of work is up to TRPA’s standards and they will receive a BMP certificate of completion if the BMPs are installed according to the approved design.
