Lake Tahoe Best Management Practices
Skip Navigation LinksLake Tahoe Best Management Practices :General Information :Our Partners
As part of efforts to preserve Lake Tahoe for future generation, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) requires all developed properties to install Best management Practices (BMPs) which help improve water quality by reducing soil erosion and capturing polluted water before it enters Lake Tahoe. The Erosion Control Team is a grant funded division of TRPA and administers the BMP Retrofit program for the Lake Tahoe Basin .
The TRPA Erosion Control Team is not alone in its mission to conserve the unique natural resources of the Lake Tahoe Basin, and works collaboratively with other local agencies and organizations in the area.
